A Quitter Never Wins And A Winner Never Quits

Persistence is more important than talent to become a champion martial arts fighter. Find out how to become more persistent to reach your goals.

Bottom line that's the difference in the mindset between a champion and just another fighter. The difference between winning and losing. This is the attitude you must have to overcome all the obstacles in your training and matches. Focus, hard work and commitment are some of the key factors in the making of a champion. Knowing the right way to train/condition your mind and body will increase your odds in becoming a champion. So how do you go about it? First it starts with your most powerful asset or weapon you have, your thoughts. We are all in control of our destiny because we control our thoughts. “WHAT THE MIND CAN BELIEVE THE MIND CAN ACHIEVE”

A lot of people do not like to hear this because it makes them responsible for where they are at in life, it takes away excuses for failing, not trying or giving up. It’s all about attitude that sets you apart from every one else. DO OR DIE that is the attitude you need to defeat your opponents in the ring or outside of it in the real world. When you don't feel like training because you are to sore, tired from a long day at work or your hand hurts or there are other things you need to get done these are excuses that you put in the way so you don’t achieve your goal. You have to train and condition your mind to focus on your goal so you have a burning desire to obtain it.

If two opponents of equal strength and fighting ability step into the ring the man with the stronger mind will be victorious. Here are some ways to train your mind to have the edge over your opponent. Take time to visualize your match or techniques in your mind with a clear, detailed and realistic picture for 10-30 minutes twice a day once in the morning when you awake and before going to sleep. This will feed positive messages to your subconscious mind.

- Find a quiet place in your home sit or lay down whatever makes yourself comfortable and begin to visualize.

- Always visualize what YOU are going to do not what your opponent is going to do because you can only control yourself.

- Visualize yourself always moving quickly, effortlessly and being victorious, standing over your opponent holding your arms high up in the air with the championship belt around your waist.

- Visualize as if you have already obtained your goal, SMELL the scents of the arena. TASTE the salt from your sweat on your lips. HEAR the crowd chanting your name. FEEL and TOUCH the championship belt around your waist and the crowd’s energy as you put up your hands in victory.

- Surround yourself with positive people who push you to be your very best, believe in you and your goal and will help you achieve it. Having supportive people around will help deflect negative thinking and will rub off on you, we become who we hang out with.

- Read biographies of your idols on the obstacles they overcame to get to where they are today.

The key to visualization is to have 100% belief and faith that you WILL ACHIEVE YOUR GOAL and this is YOUR PURPOSE AND DESTINY. Push away any doubt you have when it comes into your mind or the negative thoughts will cancel out the positive message. After a little while it well becomes easier to believe what you are telling yourself. The mind can not tell what is real or imagined when you keep telling it something. You will subconsciously begin believing those messages. attracting people in your life that will help you reach your goal and you will begin ACTING, TRAINING and FIGHTING like a champion.

7 Time Saving Airport Security Checkpoint Tips

If you find that you spend more time at the airport check points than the actual airplane flight itself, then you need these tips on saving time at the security checkpoint and move on with your life!

1. Do not bring 'Prohibited Items' to the airport (common sense items like swiss army knives, lighters, etc)

2. Use carry-on luggage for valuables such as cash, a laptop, and jewelry. Also to be placed in carry-on luggage are cameras and undeveloped film (The X-Ray will not damage film under 800 speed).

 3. Tape your personal contact info or business card to the bottom area of the laptop and any other valuable you deem necessary.

 4. Avoid wearing metal/foil containing clothing, accessories, and items (such as coins money clips, cell phone, keys, medicine, gum wrappers, batteries, lottery tickets, cigarettes, etc). In the case of things like coins and keys, try placing them altogether in a specified bag so it's easier to take them out and put them back in later.

5. Avoid wearing shoes that contain metal and/or have thick soles. The reason for this is because shoes do not have to trip off the alarm in order to have their own specific search procedures applied (so nothing can be hidden in the shoes).

6. When the Holidays are approaching, but make sure you do the wrapping of the gifts upon arrival, or ship them as opposed to bring them to the airport pre-wrapped as these will be checked by security personnel.

7. Arrive an hour to an hour and a half earlier before your scheduled departure since you will be searched no matter if you plane leaves in 5 minutes or 5 hours.

In light of the recent world events, these increased airport security (and beyond) measures are becoming a fact of life with no signs of slowing down anytime soon. However becoming educated and following a simple system can help you avoid foreseeable hassles along this turbulent journey called life.

5 Mistakes You Might Be Making When Choosing A Password

Are you making yourself a target for fraud? More and more often, I am hearing stories of people who have had their accounts hacked. They have had money stolen, lost sleep, spent hours setting up new accounts, or had their credit ruined. Don't let this happen to you. Are you making these dangerous mistakes?

Mistake #1: Using the same password for all your accounts. Please don't do this. Use different passwords for every email account, and definitely use unique passwords for shopping websites where you'd enter your credit card.

Mistake #2: Short passwords The risk of someone guessing your password is increasingly difficult the more characters are in it. So, go for the gusto and make your passwords long.

Mistake #3: BradPitt, Charlie, Sarah, Princess, Barbie, Gandolf -- Did I guess it yet? Do not use kids' names, pet's name, nicknames, names from characters in books or movies or celebrity names. Even if I didn't guess it in my list, someone who knows you could.

Mistake #4: Easy to remember English words Easy to remember is also easy to guess. Passwords should not contain English words found in a dictionary. Non-English words or any words in any dictionary are a high risk as well. And, for goodness sakes, if your password is "password" or "test" then it's a wonder you haven't been hacked yet!

Mistake #5: Numbers are no-no's. Seriously, stay away from birthdays, anniversaries, addresses, social security numbers or telephone numbers. They are all too easy to guess. Choose random passwords for banking sites like PayPal. Combine letters (both uppercase and lowercase) and numbers. If all of this sounds too hard to remember, then consider using a Password program. Most of the good password programs will not only store your passwords on your computer, but they'll generate completely random passwords when you need one.

Here are a few to try.

It's never a good time to find out that someone has stolen money from you -- or locked you out of your own email account. It's a waste of your time and money. Please protect yourself.

Bug Detectors Wire Taps Phones Home Office

Of all of the different types of bug & wire tap detectors available, and for the many different types of bugs that you may need to detect, there are bug detectors for your telephones that can do more than just tell you whether or not someone is listening into your conversations. You may also need to have bug detectors that can tell you just what your telephone is being used for and who is being called.

This is great for small businesses operating on a budget, as well as for use in a private home. By using one of these tone decoder bug detectors, you can tell immediately when someone is calling long distance and put a stop to the call before the phone bill gets run up. The great part is that these tone decoders don't even have to plug directly into the device that's being used. When you play the pre-recorded tape recording or whatever audio source you're using, the dialed phone numbers appear instantaneously on your sixteen-digit LCD display.

Of course, if you prefer to connect your bug detector directly into the source, a direct telephone line connector cable is also supplied. And did you know that your telephone can be tapped not only for the purpose of listening in on your private conversations, but that it can also be converted into one of the most efficient room monitors available? And the telephone doesn't have to be off the hook for this to work.

By installing a hook switch bypass into the telephone, the transmitter or even the earpiece or receiver becomes a microphone so that anyone manning a listening station, can hear not only everything that is said, but everything that is going on in the room as well.

Fortunately, there are bug & wire tap detectors that can stop that from happening.

5 Components Of Physical Fitness

Physical fitness is the ability to function effectively throughout your workday, perform your usual other activities and still have enough energy left over to handle any extra stresses or emergencies which may arise. The components of physical fitness are:

 * Cardiorespiratory endurance - the efficiency with which the body delivers oxygen and nutrients needed for muscular activity and transports waste products from the cells.

 * Muscular strength - the greatest amount of force a muscle or muscle group can exert in a single effort.

 * Muscular endurance - the ability of a muscle or muscle group to perform repeated movements with a sub-maximal force for extended periods of times.

 * Flexibility - the ability to move the joints or any group of joints through an entire, normal range of motion.

 * Body composition - the percentage of body fat a person has in comparison to his or her total body mass. Improving the first three components of fitness listed above will have a positive impact on body composition and will result in less fat. Excessive body fat detracts from the other fitness components, reduces performance, detracts from appearance, and negatively affects your health. Factors such as speed, agility, muscle power, eye-hand coordination, and eye-foot coordination are classified as components of "motor" fitness. These factors most affect your athletic ability. Appropriate training can improve these factors within the limits of your potential. A sensible weight loss and fitness program seeks to improve or maintain all the components of physical and motor fitness through sound, progressive, mission specific physical training.

Principles of Exercise

Adherence to certain basic exercise principles is important for developing an effective program. The same principles of exercise apply to everyone at all levels of physical training, from the Olympic-caliber athlete to the weekend jogger.

These basic principles of exercise must be followed.

1. Regularity To achieve a training effect, you must exercise often. You should exercise each of the first four fitness components at least three times a week. Infrequent exercise can do more harm than good. Regularity is also important in resting, sleeping, and following a sensible diet.

 2. Progression The intensity (how hard) and/or duration (how long) of exercise must gradually increase to improve the level of fitness.

3. Balance To be effective, a program should include activities that address all the fitness components, since overemphasizing any one of them may hurt the others.

4. Variety Providing a variety of activities reduces boredom and increases motivation and progress.

5. Specificity Training must be geared toward specific goals. For example, people become better runners if their training emphasizes running. Although swimming is great exercise, it does not improve a 2-mile-run time as much as a running program does.

6. Recovery A hard day of training for a given component of fitness should be followed by an easier training day or rest day for that component and/or muscle group(s) to help permit recovery. Another way to allow recovery is to alternate the muscle groups exercised every other day, especially when training for strength and/or muscle endurance.

7. Overload The work load of each exercise session must exceed the normal demands placed on the body in order to bring about a training effect.

So, I hope these tips help you improve or maybe begin your path towards health & fitness!
